The 12" Part 1 Ball-Cock Valve with BallFloat is a well-made and easy-to-fit replacement for old broken valves in loft header tanks. It is mostly brass, providing excellent quality. However, there are a few drawbacks to Consider. Firstly, the valve is not adjustable, so the water level cannot be lowered. Additionally, the valve discharges downward, which does not comply with water supply regulations for this use. Furthermore, the ball cannot be turned to avoid the side of a loo tank, unlike a Part 2 valve. It is worth noting that this valve does not fit a 22mm inlet pipe. Overall, while the 12" Part 1 Ball-Cock Valve with BallFloat is well-made and easy to install, it may not be suitable for all applications due to its lack of adjustability and downward discharge.
