XP-Pen Graphics Tablets CT860B Editorial Review
The XP-Pen Star06 tablet has garnered a largely positive reception from users, especially those transitioning from older models or looking for affordable yet feature-rich alternatives to established brands like Wacom. Users Consistently praise its sleek and elegant design, highlighting the impressive functionality of the dial feature which simplifies tasks like zooming and adjusting brush sizes—elements that contribute significantly to an efficient workflow. One of the standout features is the generous active drawing area measuring 10x6 inches, which some reviewers note might be excessive for smaller setups. This large surface area, paired with the tablet's natural pen feel and texture, offers a comfortable drawing experience that seems to resonate well with artists of various skill levels. The tablet's wireless capability is appreciated as it enhances mobility while working, although some users feel that this might be less significant given the nature of tablet use. Performance-wise, the Star06 impresses with its 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity, enhancing drawing precision, although some users note that this may not be a critical feature for everyone, particularly hobbyists. The responsive nature of the tablet, coupled with convenient features like three status indicators, adds to a pleasant user experience. However, there's room for improvement. Some users found the initial setup somewhat confusing, particularly with the pen pressure settings, indicating a need for more user-friendly documentation. Additionally, concerns about the software not offering as many features as desired, and issues regarding the programming of express buttons were noted. Overall, the XP-Pen Star06 emerges as a strong contender in the drawing tablet market, providing versatile features and a solid performance at a competitive price point compared to pricier alternatives. **
