It can use cone threads, and regular threads can be used for stretch garments as long as the thread tension and feed ratio are balanced. It cannot do a chain stitch on both sides of the hem. The threading instructions could be better, and the included threading tool may be difficult to use. Overall, the Janome CoverPro 900CPX is suitable for experienced users and produces beautiful results.
