Its main component is silicon dioxide, and about 99.8% of its volume is air, so it has an extremely low density. This aerogel has a slightly blue transparency and is often called "solid air", "blue smoke" or "frozen smoke". Nano aerogel is also the least dense solid and the best insulator.
