Answer: Yes, this blend works well for making breads, pancakes, and quickbreads. -

Answer: Yes, it is certified gluten-free by GFCO. -

Answer: No, it is free from wheat, dairy, fish, crustacean, peanut, tree nuts, soy, sesame, and egg. -

Does anyone know the difference between this one and the one by gfJules?
Answer: When I was first diagnosed with Celiac in 2007, I heard of Jules and ordered it. I gradually tried other gf flour mixes, and this is just my opinion. Jules & Better Batter bake up about the same, but to me both are more gritty than others. I therefore use Cup4Cup almost exclusively. Less gritty, always bakes up reliably, and fairly easy to find locally. Having to order flour online got old real quick, and I still don’t understand why Better Batter is so terribly expensive. -

What is the expiration date on this 5 lb bag of GF flour?
Answer: The one I purchased had a 2 year expiration date. -

What are the ingredients?
Answer: The ingredients in Better Batter are, rice flour, brown rice flour, tapioca starch, potatoe starch, xanthan gum, and pectin (lemon derivative). -
Question:
Trying to find a GF flour that doesn't leave the food gritty. Any suggestions?
Answer: I find that Better Batter Gluten-Free flour is not gritty at all. I think it is one of the best gluten free flours on the market. -

Can it be used as a substitute for regular flour in a bread recipe for a bread maker?
Answer: I've used it as a cup for cup substitute for all my old recipes and works great so I don't see why it wouldn't in a bread machine. -

What is the expiration date on this product?
Answer: I do not know that there is an official expiration date, but the longer any flour sits around the more rancid it become (and gf flours tend to go faster). If you are not going to use it right away, I would keep it in the freezer. -

Can this flour be used for pancake?
Answer: Yes it can. You can look at www.glutenfreeonashoestring.com for hundreds of gluten free recipes that you can use this flour with. -

Is this for a total of 20 pounds, with four of the five pound packages?
Answer: No, 4 packages of 1lb, 4.5 ounces each. -

Does the company make a version without Xanthan gum? X gum can be made with corn (allergic) or soy (allergic) milk products again, allergic
Answer: I believe they are working on a version without “gums”. However as far as I know it hasn’t launched as of yet.
