The outsole is made of flexy rubber with a good grip for the black portion and a harder rubber used in the red sections. The boots hold up against water pretty well as advertised. Although out of the box they are comfortable, the leather is THIN and there's a small rip in the toe. The boots are a work boot from a fashion brand and look like a resoleable boot for the sake of looking like one. These boots are worth around $140-$160.
