The Rough Country drop pitman arm is a perfect fit for lifted Jeep Wranglers and Cherokee XJ models. This arm allows the correct steering geometry to be employed after a lift is installed. While the arm is recommended for a 3-5 inch lift, customers have noted that it works well on a 4-inch lift, however, it may not see a real benefit on a 2-inch lift. The pitman arm is offset by four inches if purchased with a 4-inch lift kit. Although the installation of a tie rod and drag link conversion usually corrects alignment and steering geometry, installation of the drop pitman arm may be necessary if steering geometry issues arise. Customers have reported that the installation is straightforward but the removal of the old pitman arm can be challenging.
