Answer: Not long at all. It fits perfectly. -
Question:
How do you slightly compress the strut - I am off like half an inch?
Answer: You cannot compress the strut. You have to remove the black plastic spacers in the linkage which allows the trunk to open a little further. Be sure to put them back in place after the struts are installed. If you can find my review, you'll see the spacers in the picture. To remove and reinstall, the trunk will have to be only partially opened.
