MCIGICM Voltage Testers Editorial Review
The displayed voltage is generally accurate above 5V so it should be fine with high voltage applications. However, none of them illuminate below 3.1V and some are off by 0.3 to 0.8VDC. Two of five were not calibrated correctly and one jumped to 16V as soon as it reached 12V, which could mean it was defective. These are cheap and not highly reliable voltage displays, you get what you pay for. They are easy to install and come in different colors, which is great for multiple units but the wire and connection are fragile, so they need to be handled with care. It might be best to look for a 3-wire variety for projects with lower voltages. Overall, this is a good product for high voltage applications but not recommended for low voltage projects.
