The Schlage FE285 CEN 716 LAT CEN Century Front Entry Handleset with Latitude Lever is a great purchase for homeowners who want to add a touch of elegance to their front door. This handleset is available in several finishes including the popular Aged Bronze, as well as a Matte Black finish which has a model number of 622. The set includes both the lever handle and lower half grip, making it easy to open the entry door from either side. The handleset is suitable for doors between 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" thick and will fit bore holes from 2-1/8" to 5-1/2". However, it may not fit doors that are thicker than 1-3/4". The interior side of the handleset is not weather-resistant and therefore, is not recommended for installation on a gate or any door that is exposed to the elements. The Schlage handleset is not a multi-point lock handle set, and therefore, does not have a lock. However, it works perfectly with a separate deadbolt. If you want to use this handleset on your back door, you can purchase a matching back door deadbolt that is keyed the same. While it may be a bit pricey, it's an excellent option for those who want to maintain a uniform look throughout their home.
