VIVO Black 250ft Bulk Cat5e, CCA Ethernet Cable, UTP Pull Box, Cat-5e Wire, Waterproof, Outdoor, Direct Burial CABLE-V018, as advertised, is designed for outdoor use and direct burial. The 250ft bulk cable comes in a pull box and has good abrasion protection. However, the cable is copper clad aluminum (CCA) wiring, not solid copper, which may result in degraded performance, particularly at longer ranges. Buyers of this cable are generally satisfied with its use for non-POE applications and for connecting security cameras within reasonable range limits. However, some buyers had connectivity issues when using this cable with POE devices or experienced signal loss over time. CCA cable is not recommended for professional use, and solid copper Cat5e cable is a better option, even though it may be more expensive. This particular CCA cable is not cost-effective as it is priced higher than other CCA cables available on the market. This cable is standard UL rated, but not Plenum rated, and is unsuitable for use in an interior public school.
