The Lichamp AC Leak Detector Kit is a comprehensive tool kit for detecting leaks in an automotive AC system. The kit includes a UV oil dye leak detection kit that comes with an AC UV light and protective glasses. The UV flashlight is very bright which makes it easier to detect leaks during the daytime. This is handy as it will save you from having to wait for nighttime to use the flashlight. Customers were able to detect leaks using a small bottle of oil dye that costs around $7.00 from Autozone without any problems. It is recommended that you use the UV flashlight to inspect before adding the oil dye in case there is any other UV dye already present. One customer had an issue with one of the battery packs missing the negative connections, preventing it from working. They also mentioned that one of them was just plastic without any metal parts. It is unclear why the battery packs were different. Keep in mind that it requires six batteries, which are not included.
