    Answer: The primary purpose of Ultra-ADA pads is to provide tactile warning surfaces for the visually impaired to feel the raised, truncated domes with their feet, thus alerting them to different surface areas.
  • Question: How do you install Ultra-ADA pads?

    Answer: Ultra-ADA pads can be installed quickly and easily using adhesive and anchors (included).
  • Question: What are the unique features of the Ultra-ADA warning pad?

    Answer: The unique features of the Ultra-ADA warning pad include its flexibility to fit dips, slopes, and inclines, better slip resistance and impact resistance than composites, and being unbreakable.
  • Question: What is the distance between the domes on the ADA Pads?

    Answer: The distance between the domes on the ADA Pads is 2.35".
  • Question: Does the adhesive stick to asphalt?

    Answer: The adhesive that comes with the Retrofit ADA pad will not be good to use for an asphalt application. For Asphalt Applications customers must buy a special adhesive for bonding to the asphalt. That adhesive is called Ultrabond G19.
  • Question: Are the ADA Pads California Compliant?

    Answer: These pads comply with the federal ADA requirements.
  • Question: Do the glue and anchors come in the same package as the truncated Dome pad, or is it a separate package?

    Answer: The construction adhesive and the drill fasteners do not come in the same package as the truncated Dome pad. Customers must contact the manufacturer to get them as they might have fallen out of the box prior to being shipped.
  • Question: Are the domes raised between 0.18" and 0.22"?

    Answer: The domes are raised no more than 0.25" (1/4").
  • Question: What type of ADA pad is needed for gluing to concrete in a parking lot?

    Answer: The retrofit ADA Pads are adhered to dry concrete with adhesive and anchors, so this would be the model you would need. The Composite ADA Pads are wet-set, cast in place (to be used with wet concrete). The Composite model is actually discontinued.
  • Question: Can this product be cut to size?

    Answer: We do not recommend that you cut this product.
  • Question: What are the specs on the truncated dome portion of the mat?

    Answer: The domes on these ADA pads are 2.375" apart (center of dome to center of dome) and the domes themselves are 0.2" tall, which meets requirements.
