The Original Bike Hitches by Delta Cycle are a well-built, sturdy product made of high quality materials that can hold any bicycle and fit onto any flat surface. They work with 29" wheels, mountain bikes, road bicycles, eBikes, and even fat tires. Customers have successfully used them to secure two bikes in the back of their truck or make a roof rack for their bicycles. Some have even avoided drilling into their truck beds by mounting the hitches onto a two-by-four. The lock mechanism is easy to use and allows customers to choose their own lock. The lever part of the mechanism needs to be lined up with the hole on the base, which then allows customers to place their lock through the two holes. The hitch's width is adjustable and can fit bikes with shocks and forks. One issue that customers have had is that the through axle adapters' outer diameter is too large to fit into the groove on the front fork for some bikes. This issue has caused scratches on some forks. There also have been some comments about the end caps being better off as plastic. In terms of the difference between the Original Bike Hitch and the basic Delta mount that is $10 cheaper, the lock mechanism on the Original is smoother than on the basic model.
