Answer: This product is multi strand and I found it easy to work with. For the connections use silicone grease filled wire nuts. -

Answer: The wire we carry has a solid copper strand, no aluminum. -

Can this wire be used on a 600w power supply?
Answer: 12/2 wire is typically used for low-voltage applications. It can handle up to 20 amps or 240 watts max. If your transformer has a max capacity of 600w, but each run of 12/2 wire coming from the transformer to the field has less than 240w on it, then you should be good to go. -

Answer: You could, however its best to use wire that is spiraled as that aids in keeping out interference. Just like indoor speakers, never use lamp cord for that reason! -

Is this insulated for underground burial?
Answer: This is LOW-VOLTAGE wire designed for outdoor landscaping and it would be proper to place it underground for your 12 volt lighting. It is NOT designed for 110.The 12/2 is better for long runs, while the 14/2 is acceptable for short runs and is less expensive.It comes on a reel and is easy to handle during installation.
