Using finely ground coffee, this system makes great-tasting coffee, although it can be under-extracted unless it is pre-heated sufficiently. The cone is easy to clean and does not leave any coffee mud or sludge. Customers have noted that the base is wide and that it takes up a lot of shelf space. The filter has three holes across the bottom, and the #4 filter fits perfectly. Some customers have had issues with the coffee taking too long to filter through due to the inadequate ribbing on the sides of the cone, while others have complained that it is too heavy and can break their carafe.
