However, there are other Humminbird units that will work but will require an adapter, and it will also connect directly to a Humminbird Ethernet Switch for easy control. This trolling motor is an improvement on the previous models, and it's straightforward to install with a foot pedal that operates just like the fortrex, but easier to steer. It's ideal for those who love bass fishing and want more efficient battery use. Overall, this is a top-quality, high-performance trolling motor that takes fishing to another level, but its price and sonar cables are a slight deterrent.
