The LeapStart has approximately 180 MB of available memory with the ability to carry 12 books at a time. It is compatible with computers running Windows 7, 8, or 10 or an Intel-based Apple computer, with a high-speed internet connection, monitor resolution of 1024 x 768, an available USB port, 1 GB of RAM and 500 MB free disk space. While the product is excellent for enhancing learning, a few customers have had issues with the product's battery, software, cheap materials, sound quality, and customer service. The battery reportedly drains quickly, and some customers have reported the software not being able to connect, and it makes downloading more books impossible. Some customers have also claimed that the sound on the player is low, and the materials used in Constructing it are of low quality.
