The StarTech.com USB C Dock is a universal docking station that supports quad-monitor display through HDMI and DisplayPort. Some customers found that the DisplayLink software did not work well with their MacBook, causing shutdowns and display resets every 30-45 minutes. Others found that the dock caused a laggy and stuttery mess when plugging in multiple monitors. However, some customers had success using the dock with Ubuntu and running four monitors at 1080p 60hz. The dock is easy to use for adding multiple external monitors and has a front USB port with more wattage to support powering external monitors. A driver update sent by tech support fixed some initial issues for one customer.
