Answer: It comes with gaskets installed. They press against the 1/4 flare fittings to form a seal. Gaskets can be replaced when they wear out. I believe these also gave hose core depressors which can be removed for better flow is Schrader valves are not being used on mating part -

Does it have schrader cores?
Answer: No, This hose is for maximum flow when pulling a vacuum on a system and should be used with a schrader core removal tool which Appion also makes (I use it and like it) . There are other manufacturers of them also.
