This guitar kit comes with a neck that has a truss rod and a stock plastic nut. It can be upgraded. The neck of this kit would be glued to the body. Any modern size machine heads will fit as an upgrade. The builders can use Titebond glue when assembling the guitar. The inlay on this guitar is FMOP. There is enough material to easily cut the headstock into a classic gibson look or a custom design. The guitar instructions and wiring diagrams come with the kit. This product has received mixed reviews. The woods all look great and the neck impressed many customers. However, others reported that the neck tenon was loose and that the neck angle was not correct. The body of the guitar is made of mahogany and was practically finished in terms of rough sanding. The pickups that came with the kit were actually not that bad but many builders went on to upgrade them. Customers report the tuners that come with the kit are serviceable but not high-ratio. Some reviews suggest the nut and frets require additional work. In general, the kit builders suggested that the guitar requires a lot of work to achieve a great sounding instrument.
