The compression-molded footbed conforms to the shape of your feet over time and provides excellent support for those with fallen arches. The adjustable Velcro strap across the front also makes them suitable for narrow and wider feet. Although they have a leather/rubber smell to them, the footbed is a mix of both leather and synthetic materials, which may not be ideal for those who live in humid climates and have concerns about sweat absorption. The upper slide of the sandal is synthetic, which is far easier to care for than leather. The Kulia uses a vegetable-tanned Italian leather on both sides of the strap, which is different from the Mea Ola that uses a premium full-grain leather. While some customers have had issues with the adjustable flaps, most have loved the comfort and look of these sandals.
