Its partition between the hooks is thin and is able to hold plates comfortably. The hanger is built to hold 14-20 inch plates and trays that are light, up to a maximum of 2 pounds. The hanger does not come equipped with tip protectors, neither does it include any caution against California prop 65. Customers had varying experiences with the hanger; some said it was perfect for hanging their plated or tray while others said it was poorly designed. One person said their vintage painted metal tray fit perfectly while another said their 100-year-old collectible platter broke within minutes of being hung. Another customer had a negative experience with their tray, which was 17 inches and weighed less than 2 pounds; it broke within 24 hours of having been hung on the hanger.
