Product Details
- Teach cello with the popular Suzuki Cello School. The Suzuki Method(R) of Talent Education is based on Shinichi Suzuki's view that every child is born with ability, and that people are the product of their environment. According to Shinichi Suzuki, a world-renowned violinist and teacher, the greatest joy an adult can know comes from developing a child's potential so he/she can express all that is harmonious and best in human beings. Students are taught using the mother-tongue approach. Each series of books for a particular instrument in the Suzuki Method is considered a Suzuki music school, such as the Suzuki Cello School. Suzuki lessons are generally given in a private studio setting with additional group lessons. The student listens to the recordings and works with their Suzuki cello teacher to develop their potential as a musician and as a person. This Suzuki Book is integral for Suzuki cello lessons. Titles: Sonata in C Major, Op. 40, No. 1 (Allegro, Rondo grazioso) (Bréval) * Adagio and Allegro from the Sonata in E Minor, Op. 1, No. 2 (Marcello) * Minuets from the Suite in G Major, BWV 1007 (Bach) * Tonalization * Chanson Triste, Op. 40, No. 2 for Piano (Tchaikovsky). Alfred Music (Contributor) Format: Paperback Cellos Editorial Review
** Suzuki Cello School, Vol 4: Cello Part** The Suzuki Cello School, Volume 4, has been well-received by both students and teachers as it offers an enriching and enjoyable experience for those learning to play the cello. Users praise its content, noting the delightful progression of music from previous volumes, particularly how it maintains an intuitive selection of works that successfully challenges students without overwhelming them. One delighted parent highlighted their 9-year-old's enjoyment of the pieces, emphasizing that the book fosters a genuine appreciation for the beauty of cello music. Transitioning from Volume 3 to Volume 4 seems seamless, especially for low-intermediate players looking to advance their skills. Users appreciate the book's focus on bass clef with some exposure to tenor clef, enriching the learning toolkit. The clear suggested fingerings are also a significant plus, as they save players Considerable time in figuring out the technical aspects of the pieces, contributing to a smoother learning curve. However, there are suggestions for improvement. A common request is the inclusion of piano accompaniments, which could enhance the learning experience even more. The provided companion CD further supports the learning process by allowing students to hear how the music should sound, particularly beneficial for those without prior musical training. Overall, the Suzuki Cello School, Volume 4 stands out as a great educational resource for both children and adults eager to deepen their cello practice. **
