The Attwood 1674-6 90 Degree P-Trap Fuel Tank Vent is an excellent addition to your boat. Its design is meant to displace the air out of a fuel tank while filling it up so that adding fuel is not a difficult task. The vent can work for both fiberglass and aluminum boats, as there are parts provided in the kit for different hull thicknesses. It comes with a chrome cap, a subtle piece of bling that doesn't catch on dock piling or ropes. With P-trap design, there is no need for looping the hose, allowing tighter clearance. Installation is also easy and quick. The vent does not work for diesel fuel or propane tanks, and no sealant is required on the vent body, only a small bead of silicone sealant on the P-trap front flange.
