QL-38-LP/BP Quik-Latch Hood Pin Kit (Black Cerakote)

This product is a Quik-Latch hood pin kit that enables the user to quickly release and/or attach the hood of their car. The kit comes in a set of two and is not vehicle specific, so vehicle modification is required to install it. It is essential to use the hood latch in conjunction with the pins, and the overall length of the ball pin is 4 inches. The product lacks screws, so thin aftermarket hoods cannot clamp down perfectly. However, one customer solved this issue by adding washers of the top ring from ACE hardware, screwed into medium loctite. In general, customers were pleased with this product and found the pins strong enough to hold down the hood. Customers have also found these pins to be useful for bumpers. Installation can be time-Consuming, but many believe it is worth the effort. The product is well-made and looks better than other options, although it is expensive. There can be minor issues with the lock being rough or dry, but this is uncommon.
