The Delta R10000-UNBXHF Multichoice Universal Shower Only Valve Body is a rough-in valve only, and the cartridge that controls water temperature and flow comes with the trim controller valve chosen by the customer. There are different types of trim packages available with different cartridges and features such as separate handles for controlling volume and temperature, as well as automatic temperature compensation. Some customers recommend using a second valve instead of a diverter for controlling multiple shower heads. The valve requires 2" of recessed clearance inside the wall and should be mounted on 1/2" or 3/4" plywood, and Delta recommends using their trims with their rough valves. The maximum flow rate depends on the type of trim and water pressure.
