The Extech CO240 Handheld Indoor Air Quality and Carbon Dioxide Meter is a convenient little unit for energy audits of buildings. The CO2 reading is accurate, and the temperature and humidity values appear to be within reasonable ranges. However, the temperature reading is a bit slow to respond and might not be suitable for tasks that require fast response time. The meter is highly sensitive, and readings settle down after a few seconds, making it imperative to maintain a distance from the meter. The unit is reliable for getting a rough idea of readings. Still, with notably high battery Consumption, it might not be the most practical option for extended use.
