    Answer: Yes, simply use the 1/4-turn top cap for easy on/off roll replacement.

    Answer: Yes, the extra-weighted rubber ring base eliminates tipping or movement.

    Answer: Not to my knowledge, but I didn't try to take it apart!

    Answer: I wash it with soap and water and allow to dry.

  • Question: Does it hold super size jumbo rolls?

    Answer: There is a 6.2 inch depression in the base of the holder. If super jumbo means bigger than 6 and a quarter inch diameter, I think the first few sheet might be ruffled at the edges. On another note, when changing rolls, I find I have to keep up with the rubber gasket at the top. It tends to come off and could easily be thrown away with the empty cardboard tube. If it is missing, the paper roll would be too loose.
  • Question: What is the weight of this item (minus packaging)?

    Answer: I would say two to three pounds. It's very stable, attractive and the one-hand tear off claim is true for me.
  • Question: What is on the bottom of the base? Is it soft to not scratch countertops?

    Answer: The bottom of mine has three felt pads (set up in a wide triangle fashion) on the bottom. They are not super thick, but they do the job. The metal base of the paper towel holder does not touch my countertops, even when I'm deliberately sliding it across the counter. When you go to tear a paper towel off, the unit does not slide at all, so I do not foresee you having problems with it scratching your counter. When you receive it if you are still concerned, you could always pick up some slightly thicker pads at your local home improvement store and swap them out. I don't think you will need to do that though if your base comes like mine. I have Corian countertops and no scratches from it.
  • Question: I have owned this product for less than a year. The bar has come loose from the base making it very wobbly. Is there a way to fix it?

    Answer: My base is solid. I suggest that you contact the manufacturer and see if they have a solution. I did have to reglue the gasket at the top, but that was a minor problem.
  • Question: Does the paper towel ever unravel?

    Answer: Never. It works perfectly.
  • Question: Do you have to unscrew the top to load paper towels?

    Answer: Yes, however it is very quick and easy. This paper towel holder is the best I've used in years.
