    Answer: No, it has a bitter taste that discourages licking and chewing.

  • Question: Would this work for posting a dogs ear with breathrite strips?

    Answer: Im not sure about that or why you would even want to do that but I can tell you that this stuff is a sticky mess. It gets on the sore but also around in the hair. My dog started licking it right away and he was able to get it off the sore he could not get it out of his hair. I ended up cutting it out so no, I do not feel that it was be good for that purpose and you would have a very unhappy do. I would try double stick tape or body tape. I hope this helps.
  • Question: How can I remove this from my dog’s fur without using acetone?

    Answer: Just leave it alone and it will wear off. I would not try to remove it as that might worsen the irritation, and I definitely would not use acetone.

    Answer: Yes. At least that's what I'm able to see from my dog. It's more like alcohol spray. Not thick like Neosporin.

    Answer: Don’t know. I only used it on my dogs elbow.

    Answer: Similar to what is used for humans.

    Answer: For my super chewers/lickers only a few hours. It’s only use is to keep a would clean (it will not prevent bleeding)
  • Question: Does this wash off with soap and water? And, how long does one application last without my dog licking at it?

    Answer: It will wash off if you need to (be gentle). We found one application lasts between 4-6 day
  • Question: has anyone had problems getting the sprayer to work?

    Answer: no it worked ok
  • Question: Does the liquid bandage repel water?

    Answer: I think so. Don't know if it's completely water tight over fur but it's probably better than a regular bandage and they can't pull it off
  • Question: My question was can it be used on a dogs head. My concern with that is will the ingredients that deter licking possibly cause his eyes to burn?

    Answer: I wouldn't use near or around eyes. It is a liquid bandage that hardens over the wound & you don't want to risk getting it into your pets eyes. Their are wound ointments that are better & safer. Consult with your vet.

Nutri-Vet Spray Repellents Editorial Review

This liquid bandage can apparently last 4-6 days and can be removed with soap and water. It is easy to use but some dogs seem to be unaffected by the flavour. The liquid works as intended, but the spray bottle can be difficult to use, with the liquid failing to spray. Many people had positive things to say about this product - it appears to be very effective for various injuries and hotspots - but the taste deterrent may not work for all dogs.
