With the PRIME-LINE Aluminum Screen Frame, you have the flexibility to create high-quality window screens to your desired size.
The frame material is intentionally cambered outward, preventing inward bowing when the screen cloth is installed and stretched taut. This ensures a perfect fit that will enhance the appearance and safety of your home. Not only can you build or repair window screens with ease, but you can also block the sun's hot rays by using the aluminum frames in combination with solar screen fabric (not included). This creates effective sun screens that can be mounted on the outside of your windows, providing energy-efficient solutions to keep your home cool and comfortable. Our aluminum screen frames are designed with a thicker spline channel for added support.
We recommend using .185" spline for standard fiberglass cloth, .165" for aluminum screen, and .155" for solar screen and pet screen. This ensures a secure and snug fit for your chosen screen material. Installation is a breeze with everything you need included in the box. The frame materials are straightforward to work with, allowing you to easily cut them to the desired size and assemble them using Prime-Line square cut 5/16" x 3/4" plastic corners.
These corners make the assembly process quick and hassle-free, ensuring high-quality and easy-to-assemble window screens. For screens over 48" in height or width, we recommend using a spreader bar in combination with spreader bar clips (Prime-Line items MP14138 and MP7794) to prevent bowing.
