The Body Solid Series 7 Smith Machine provides natural upper and lower body movements for maximum muscle interaction. It has 20 cross-member lock-out points for user safety with a safe, solid 4-point stance for maximum stability. The machine is Constructed from 11 and 12 gauge 2"x3" mainframe steel, which is all-4-side welded. The max weight load is 600 lbs. It has a linear bearing Smith, which avoids additional movement of the bar. The Smith machine is easy to put together, even though the instruction manual was not clear. The package included all parts, except the heavy plates. It is solid with a useful squat rack/half cage, and the glide is smooth. However, it does require regular rod treatment to maintain the smooth glide. The bar is lighter than an Olympic bar, but still works great. The machine is commercially built, smooth and quiet, with a great price-to-value ratio.
