The vent comes with a coarse plastic grill but not with mounting screws. The outer perimeter mounting flange measures 10-3/4"w x 9-3/4" h, with the hole center-lines @ 9-11/16" w x 8-11/16" h. The vent cap can be used for hot exhaust coming from an indoor AC unit. The reviews of the product are mixed. Some reviewers found the vent cap an exact replacement for the original and easy to install, while others found that the base of the vent would not stay in place due to the effects of heat on the mesh base. Some reviewers found the material cheap and one found that a left tab broke when trying to replace. One reviewer found that the vent cap is easy to install and function perfectly fine, but the plastic does not last very long in inclement mountain weather, requiring the vent cap to be replaced every 4-5 years.
