The frequency range is good, and it can function well as a woofer in a custom 2-way configuration for mid-bass. The speaker is easy to set-up and connect, and it can be used in a free-air installation, so long as the wattage is reduced to 75-100w. The speaker is particularly suitable for use in a 1995 Ford Explorer back panel. Some negatives included a plastic Construction, which made it fragile and prone to whistling. One reviewer even experienced a burnt smell upon plugging the speaker in, and some felt the bass wasn't powerful enough.
