Answer: It doesn't have any scratches, but there are some dents from the chair wheels. It is clear. -

Does this ship flat?
Answer: Before the mat is packaged for shipment via UPS, the mat is actually heated slightly so that it can be rolled up and boxed. The best thing to do once receiving the mat is to take it out of the box, remove packaging and let the mat acclimate in a warm environment. Once it's acclimated, unroll it and place some weight on top of the mat (like a desk chair). The mat should lay flat within a few hours. Once flat it will never roll back up nor curl on the edges. (These mats ship rolled up so that they can be sent via UPS and not have to be delivered via a freight truck). Thanks, American Floor Mats -

Chair mat came rolled up. How do I get it unrolled and flat?
Answer: Not easy to do. May need some help to get as flat as possible, then walk on or use your chair. May take a couple days to completely flatten out.
