How do I know for sure this isn't a knock off?
Answer: It's not a knock off, at least the one I received wasn't... it works great, it doesn't feel cheap, and it's a good price. Probably one of the best hair styling products I've ever bought. -

Is the size of the barrel 1/2 inch to 1 inch or 1 inch throughout?
Answer: I would say 1/2 in to 1 in. It's wider at the base. Great product! -

Answer: Yes, mine did come with a glove. Great styler for the price. -

Does this create tight curls as well?
Answer: It depends on how long you leave the iron in your hair. Honestly if your looking for SUPER tight curls you should get the Baby Curls instead of the Grande but I think the Grande does a great job with looser waves and tighter more defined curls depending on how long you leave it in. I'd say 5-10 seconds would be pretty loose and 15-20 seconds would be tighter and defined. -

Answer: I'm guessing it's marked up on the website. The one I have is real and works very well. I also believe this is a brand I've seen at mall kiosks for $150-$200. -

Answer: This only has one heat setting, and it's VERY hot. Probably between 350-400 F. The wand does come with a glove to protect your hand while curling, however. -
